Seit dem Abschluss seines Design Studiums an der Fachhochschule für Gestaltung Pforzheim und am Royal College of Arts in London hat Thomas Ingenlath mehr als 20 Jahre Erfahrung in der Automobilbranche gesammelt und war in leitenden Designpositionen bei Audi, Volkswagen und Skoda tätig. Im Jahr 2006 wurde er zum Direktor für Design im Volkswagen Designzentrum in Potsdam ernannt und betreute Projekte aller Marken des Volkswagen Konzerns. Am 1. Juli 2012 kam Thomas Ingenlath als Senior Vice President Design zur Volvo Car Corporation und leitete die Neuausrichtung des Marken- und Produktportfolios. Thomas Ingenlath wurde am 17. Juni 2017 zum Chief Executive Officer von Polestar ernannt. Er hat auch die Doppelfunktion des Chief Design Officer für die Volvo Car Group inne.

CEO of Polestar, Thomas Ingenlath leads the company’s vision for a more sustainable future. Since the completion of design studies at the Fachhochschule für Gestaltung in Pforzheim and the Royal College of Art in London Thomas Ingenlath has had over 20 years’ experience from the automotive industry. He has worked in top design positions at Audi, Volkswagen and Skoda. In 2006 he was appointed as the Director for Design at the Volkswagen Design Centre in Potsdam, designing for all brands of the Volkswagen Group. Thomas Ingenlath joined Volvo Car Corporation on 1 July 2012 as Senior Vice President Design and led the turnaround of the brand and product portfolio. Thomas Ingenlath was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Polestar on 17 June 2017; he also holds the dual-role of Chief Design Officer for the Volvo Car Group.
